Edit* never mind that, the double xp is pre calculated
You should be getting double xp for scrapping. There's no highlighted 2×XP or anything, the XP is automatically doubled in shown value.
If you can provide an example of an item and the XP scrap value it would be easy for others to determine if you have a problem. ie; Item lvl - rarely - upgraded - not upgraded - xp scrap value
(Or Screen Shot even better)
