Do the people at NG understand how insulting it is to grind and grind and grind and grind only to have 1/3 of your rewards be 100% completely useless?

I work very hard & spend most of my free time (not counting sleeping hours) during the challenge trying to reach my 1000 star quota in my guild. I don't have the badges & decent gear needed to get those stars more easily & that's okay.
When I do finally reach my 1000 mark on SUNDAY (never quite positive I'm going to make it) and get this in my 1000 star reward crate (which is one level below my current survivors) feels like a huge slap in my face & I have to ask why I even bother.
