  I say go for it
  
  You have the 3 main traits for damage which is needed for the distance and retaliate to boot. Plenty of options for a good 5th too, iron skin would be my pick to save a badge spot and with some DR he could actually make use of retaliate

  No lucky to go with swift strike or threat reduction but still solid traits, if the 5th trait is lucky that's a scout worth investing!
