  A friend of mine (not me; we'll call him Uncle Bob) dropped his phone into the toilet while seated. The decision became whether or not to risk a flush (he didn't). He reached in and extracted his phone pre-flush. His phone forever became known as "The Poopy Phone". Perhaps you encountered a similar situation as my friend?
