Cheaters getting caught
Ok since few month , we saw that NG cut some cheater and banned for 2 weeks.. it’s annoying for those that play for years to look at the way this problem is solved.. so I think it’s time to make some suggestions ..this post is not to gives names or accusations.. it’s to make suggestions to try discourage the people to join this way of playing.. so here is my suggestion and hoping you guys give some as well..
Player caught cheating should be banned from all leaderboards permanently. same for the guild that support this.. if they want to play , then play but that way they wont be recognized as strong player or guild ..
The guild part is to avoid players names change .. and to make leaders look up to it.. when your not sure, just ask videos or team showing from the player involve.

Players who knowingly and systematically cheat should be banned. Period.

I understand where you are coming from, but I think that kind of penalty on guildmates could be a bit harsh if it were a lone person doing the cheating. Now, if it was rampant cheating from multiple guild members then I’d be for it.
A cheater could easily hide in some of the larger guild families we have around. That said, I’ve seen first hand the management team in my guild family take swift action when a new player admitted in group chat to having used a game exploit. She lasted a day... joined the guild like on a Monday and was gone the next day. Didn’t get to score a single star for the guild in the weekly challenge. They’re good about that and it helps send the message to everyone that one-strike and you are out.

As low to mid range spender, I am approximately 35% pissed off.

It was pretty akward to see pictures this week from a player openly admitting that he cheated to get perfect badges...and even telling that it is normal to use exploits.
And I agree to both ATLAS-Z and Bill_ZRT : must be even more annoying for heavy spenders...me as a no longer competitive player I'm just pissed at cheaters.

I think the punishment should be more severe and maybe we can also name and shame the cheaters
I'm don't know the internal process that happened at NG the last time bans were given, but the punishment was perceived as light by most. Is this policy? could they not make it stick when pressed? I don't know. If policy it should be looked at. If it's a legal problem and they wanted to avoid action taken against them this was probably a middle ground.
Because NG always needs to be able to prove any accusations.
Unfortunately, some people also yell "cheater" every time someone gets a higher score than them.
This hurts the reputation of these players and is most often only "proven" by the fact that said player has outscored them, because to the minds of those yelling that would only be possible with cheating.
So whilst I fully support action taken against cheaters I am also a firm believer in due process and the presumption of innocence.
I would therefore also support action taken against those players who, without any sort of proof, spread rumours and accuse others of cheating.
If we don't nip this in the bud we'll just be creating witch-hunts that are based on a presumption of guilt and the accusations will often be based on less than honourable motives.
Let's show some self-restraint because all it will do is turn the community into a toxic environment.
So when anyone has more than a subjective assumption, when they have some sort of tangible proof, make NG aware and let them deal with it.
Let the community not be judge, jury and executioner!
The way things have been going lately you don't even need to make an accusation. Some folks have admitted it on the forum... even bragged about it. Flaunting their badge sets around w/ condescending attitude. That's over now. This thread is going to send others like them underground leaving things unresolved.

Cheaters are part and parcel with life, they exist to gain advantage by selfish means. I'm all for accomplishing goals, I just ask that the anger attached be justified.

It's also crazy to say that punishing past behavior is off limits (especially if the past behavior was very recent past behavior). The vast majority of people who take advantage of exploits are doing so knowingly - there's no confusion. And NG can't call attention to these things by posting that it's not okay to do them on the forums. That just gets the word out even more. The people who are doing this generally (or perhaps entirely) know it's not okay.
I also completely agree that for people who systematically and intentionally take advantage of exploits, such as those that took advantage of a particular one to get perfect badges and survivors, a two week ban is nothing. Those people will continue to 'cheat' by using these perfect in-game items every time they play the game. When you get caught shoplifting they don't let you keep everything you stole and just stop you from coming into the store for 2 weeks.

When you get to the end-game, there's really not much to do in the game. Your survivors, badges, gear, etc. are all top of the line. The thing that differentiates your gameplay from others is how well you can do in the challenge because your final star count is reflective of your tactics and tenacity (and also how much time/gold you have).
That's why the new individual leaderboards for each challenge has been a great addition. It helps the end-gamers stay motivated, but that motivation is meaningless if the results on the leaderboards don't actually reflect people's true accomplishments, but if it is instead tainted by cheaters.
Even though my level of play is nowhere near that of @SavannahGuy81 (who I had the honor of playing with recently... he is the real deal!), I totally get where he's coming from.
