  Gas bundles most likely make a decent percentage of the income that this game generates. They gotta keep the lights on, and ad based revenue is probably significant, but not enough. Just my conjecture.

  Games are supposed to cost money dude.
  
  If you want to play 100% for free all day everyday, you need to come to terms with limitations.
  
  Movies cost money
  Tv cost money
  Music cost money
  Games cost money
  Entertainment, if it's worth a shit, costs money
  
  
  My only beef is the Leaderboards.
  
  Are the best players and most skilled tacticians topping those Leaderboards every week?
  
  Not likely.
  
  So what's the point? To make you spend more money, that's what. And that shit works.
