In reality, change naturally suck to us. What good is that the game continuously attempt to improve the game play for us. The introduction of Huntsman Daryl's prowl trait was really to encourage the strength of melee team (Where prior to that, they was a pretty non-optimal survivor class .Daryl's prowl was an pretty exciting trait for gaming experience wise. It involves a top player to know the game map's mechanic well, malee's team movement, spending money to enhance his/her melee team, and of course, countless the time to educate the techniques to the guildmate/teammate to become strong together. The grow together as a team/guild requires good leadership and attentiveness of the guild members.
As that said, while Daryl's Prowl trait was super powerful. It was technically putting other class into almost obsolete at high level challenge. If a player does not invest (money/time spend on strengthen Daryl) in Daryl's Prowl and the melee team, it is pretty much that they won't be reach the same level of competitiveness against the other that did invest in the melee. In particular, bruiser, scout, and more bruisers.
On personal level, I enjoy Huntsman Daryl a lot and the melee team go with them. It teaches how to think ahead of my every moves. It requires me to be super attentive. Hence, it brought excitement to the game play - I love it. I saw some of the very best video where the elite players have the same Huntsman Daryl and melee team but they were able to accomplish much higher level of challenge than me. It was because they are super smart tactically and creative - Hats off to them (we need these type of players in the game). On the other side, for the interest of the game, other class are pretty useless at the same high level that melee team can achieve. That is - imbalance.
However, I do see the point of view where in perspective of elite players that have been invest so much in Daryl's Prowl and his melee team to go with him - disappointed with the change. I know these players are the best and whatever change it might be, they will continue to thrive with other traits.
In reality, every technology and its coding always has flaw. The developers were too rush to push out a new feature to keep the status quote. The players adapt and thrive. Players beating on the flaw. Time can be our friends or enemy. The only option to make it amazing for everyone is that both side has to be on the same page. Developers to really think in depth what could impact the future state of the game vs pushing out the new feature now to encourage revenues. Players to really think what make you success vs if I invest now, does that mean it will make me success in the same way tomorrow?
Time, the more time you think about it - the more you make a better judgement!.
