That was my original pitch, but I can see how that could easily be manipulated to "skip" only those few missions you don't like every time.

So, if there were 2 missions preventing us from advancing to the next round, we would be able to try the master mission at +2 and possibly get to the next round and continue playing. Yeah, that would be terrible.

Several folks have provided feedback that Master Mission has fallen short in it's attempt to reduce the grind sufficiently.
Lots of suggested improvements like @Grendel did and others, suggesting a lower difficulty + for MM.
Those are constructive and valuable criticisms.
Less well-received are those suggesting that Master mission is inadequate in providing fun for all players of all levels and play styles, because that was never the goal.
Goal was for all players of all levels and play styles to be able to continue to enjoy the Challenge by having the option to select the master Mission or playing on as they always have, disregarding it.

Was at the point where I was going to retire from this game after playing since the beginning. Challenge grind was way too much and after NW3 I was only playing up to RSL 31 or 32 each week. MM totally brought back the fun in challenge mode for a player like me. I can skip the low level boring missions and get to a somewhat challenging place on day 1. Like others said, I think +4 is the ticket. I still find (with the exception of the repeatable maps) that I'm not able to skip as far as I'd like and there's still some intermediate level grind. But this is definitely a large step in the right direction. Well done @ATLAS-Z
For those complaining that the MM does nothing for you, it wasn't intended for players like you. Enjoy the challenge how you always have. Hardcore players aren't getting anything extra. We're just able to skip a large chunk of levels because we ultimately play way more levels than you.
I find that 38 is where I find the challenge starts to get difficult, where I know I can 3 star but can easily get bruised. Where I really have to think and strategise and start to enjoy the challenge. 41 is where I will take what ever I can to get through and start getting frustrated because of the hospital time for stupid mistakes or shitty RNG (bodyshots) but feel like I’ve accomplished something. So I’d say the grind for me is level 28-37. With current MM i can easily skip 28.2 -32.2 so 9 easy rounds which is great however that still means I need to play 33.1-37.2 so still 10 rounds of easy grind. If it was +4 I could pretty much skip straight to the interesting bit. So yeah great start but I feel could be improved by reducing the difficulty of it slightly. Either to +5 or + 4.

But the objective is poorly implemented because it does not cover all cases/players.
Offtopic: Do you know why I like this game? because it reminds me Blizzard D2 RPG. Many different skills in weapons and armor, many types of characters, different strategies but lately (when you want to win many stars) you can only do it with the same characters, weapons and armor and with regard to the new skills of hunters, gunmen, I still can't comment but I have tried the new skill in weapons in the gold version and it doesn't give me good feelings....i will try test more
Probably an unintended consequence of master missions is the ability to take on levels at a difficulty you normally don't reach. I'm trying them more for the challenge of doing them than skipping the round. Once I have got near to doing the mm I will keep trying.
I like it but +4 instead of +6 should be better, the aim is 3* or nothing. On the previous challenge +6 was good, on the heaviest challenge, +6 is too much.

For me..... and not speaking for anyone or their play style......... I like to get as far as I can in the least amount of time........ We are a casual guild and late on Sunday I will knock out a few more stars for the next milestone. So I am able to jump out front fast put in an OK score and leave more free time for other stuff.
Did not even take meeting the daily quests kill count to hit 806 stars, I am ok with that
Yeah master stage is a great thing and even better it's optional. Even if mapset is not "master stage friendly" and if I won't be using it past rsl 32, until that point that's still much less game play on ridiculously easy maps.
I’m still getting “hung up” trying to 3 star MM maps when it’s easier to run through the maps! Just attempted occupied at 42, first 3 attempts a single bruise, next two attempts heavy injured :-( I know I can do it the question is should I keep attempting it!

Pros: I’m at my max level by Saturday and have 2 days to squeeze in another round or two. Before, I was still playing up to the deadline. So the grind has been greatly reduced (by 2 days for me).
Cons: by doing MM right away, I don’t get a feel for the maps and usually make mistakes and have to redo them to get 3*.

My thoughts on the master mission is it is slightly too hard for what it is trying to be. I like the fact that it is a lot less expensive in terms of energy and it helps to get rid of the grind.

Offtopic: Do you know why I like this game? because it reminds me Blizzard D2 RPG. On the previous challenge +6 was good, on the heaviest challenge, +6 is too much.

For me..... and not speaking for anyone or their play style......... I like to get as far as I can in the least amount of time........
