Follow Through as a special function(?)

I would Love to see a special function Scout weapon with Follow Through (or something similar) as a special function. Would also be pretty cool to see your Ace Scout welding 2 knifes like Daryl in the show. ;)

    Take my money right now

Great compromise on the functionality. Won’t double hit (could be too op), but instead makes sense for the extra blade. We’ve gotta make that double knives thing a weapon. It’s been huge in the show with Daryl repping them and this is an awesome idea. Shouldn’t be hard coding wise either.

I take back all my other ideas. This. I must have.

I agree 100% this gets follow through on your unicorn heroes.

    Very clever Noname

How would it work on a survivor who already has follow through? Could it stack?

Two rolls of the % chances of it triggering, I'd say. Especially if the weapon's FT is a different % than the trait for the nerd (likely, givent hat traits grow but weapons are static).

Not stack the %. That might become pointless (>100%).

For a scout who has the FT trate:
I'd envisioned the % chance of the weapon function stacking on the % chance of the trate going into effect, but NOT on the % of damage dealt from the 2nd strike. Agreed: that would be OP.(Maybe stack damage on charged attacks? Even then though...)

Yeah I would say stacking percentage of chance isn’t a bad thing. Damage probably shouldn’t be touched, but seeking that FT trait to pair it with this weapon for those high levels would be a great strategy.

Even if it does work like lucky. Say you have a 48% chance on your trait (I took a 3 star survivor), and the weapon had a built in say 45. That still make its almost 70% chance at that point. Pretty cool feature regardless.

    Or to simplify things...
Have double knives 1st attack 100% damage, second attack 150% damage. There's no way I would want to sacrifice damage in favour of the chance to do additional damage to an adjacent walker.

And where would you be sacrificing from exactly?

The 4th trait of built in damage that comes with hunting knives.

The OP said the special function of the knife should be an FT type trait. Which would mean damage would not be the special function any longer.
What I proposed is a double attack in a fashion similar to the chainsaw.

@Dbl_Edge_DEP no buddy sorry, Daryl's knife increased damage isn't a "special function". The original knife doesn't have a special function.

    It just does more damage.

The OP pic included has this extra damage built in same as original knife. With additional "special function" added.

Yes it is. Extra damage is considered a 4th trait (in the manner of lethal) . If you were to keep extra damage aswel as have FT, that would give the knife 5 traits.
I'm gonna stand by my view but respect your right to have yours.

Lol @Dbl_Edge_DEP you can view it any way you like, doesn't bother me.

But what had been proposed, in the OP, is adding something, and subtracting nothing.

Like it, or don't. Makes no difference to me.

    Cheers.

I agree. I took this post as it still having that same full damage. No one mentioned anything about taking it away. It was a normal Daryl’s knife with FT thrown in.

I see what you mean, But I never thought of the extra damage as a “4th functioning trait” but I guess technically it could be. But usually special functioning means it does something. Causes Fire, extra reach, extra spaces, etc. not just a little extra damage.

They also always note that there’s a special function, Daryl’s knife doesn’t state that or say it’s a function of the knife, it simply says “more damage” on the bundle before you buy....soo that tells me they don’t consider it a 4th trait either, just a “bonus”
