Fix for the low level player exploit in GW

As is obvious from some crazy scores from players we have never heard of, I would say there is a real problem in GW with players taking advantage of the low-level player exploit. Since GW difficulty is adjusted to your player level, you can make GW much easier by having low-level players, especially if you have strong flat value badges. A lvl 13 player with strong flat value badges will breeze through missions lvl 28 players won't even dare to try.

My suggestion is simple - even if I do realize it might not be so simple from a coding point of view.

CONVERT ALL FLAT BADGES TO % BADGES.

NG can make a system update so that all flat badges get converted to a corresponding % badge. This will fix this exploit, and also make all those flat badges valuable again.

The only obvious drawback is that people who have scrapped their gold flat badges will be upset, but I still think it's worth it.

    I think the simplest solution would be to redo the calculation code

    Make it so that flat damage badges add-on at the end of all other calculations for damage and critical damage

    And make it so that flat health badges add on after all other percent calculations

    Sooo a +22% damage badge doesn't boost a +1200 damage badge? Pretty sure it does.

    First of all, you're wrong ! Secondly, you are wrong! In the third you are wrong ! Fourth and fifth , who are you ?  Not you ,not anyone else does not know who and how much money or time spent on the game. Everyone chooses the tactics that they want, taking into account the rules.     Let's discuss: why is there a wave 2 in the war, and 6 zombies come out ? Why can the enemy count your points when you sleep and make the other islands win? Why did we start buying tools 5 times more when islands 19 and 20 appeared? Why can't NG find a balance(or doesn't want to)? And there are a lot of things that really prevent a lot of players from playing!!

    Although Challenge and GW are not really comparable, some GW scores of "unknown" guilds/players don't seem legit . Maybe the problem is not only the "flat badge exploit". Can anyone tell if "flight mode exploit" is investigated at all in GW?

    I don't care too much about this personally, but the game is more fair when people play it on equal terms. When up becomes down and down becomes up, that's demoralizing for straight shooters who care about rank.

    And also, he didn't mention you. Your heroes from the screenshots in another thread are level 21. I don't think level 21 with flat badges help that significantly.

    i sense that NG doesn't have the employees who can sit down and really think through all the loopholes that can happen in all of their implementations / changes to the game. one clearest example is the absence of the confirm button in every purchase in the BM at the beginning. that would have been an obvious insert

    a lot of times, they depend on the forum players to tell them the loopholes and then....they may, may act on it, if schedule permits. this just waste their time and effort

    they should allow a few selected experienced players to join in a closed discussion on future implementation

    They have, but they don't share everything with us, only when they feel the need for player perspective on certain features. Many things are still not discussed with us before implementing.

    I can imagine of they ran every detail by us for every single thing they would spend endless hours sifting through our discussions. Some of us are very opinionated **cough cough Busta cough**. Lol.

    i was thinking more of another kind of closed door discussion: NG reveals what is going to be implemented and the invited players are there to think of any future  problems/loopholes with the implementation. that's all. they are not there to stop them from implementing or suggest any alternatives or add anything which is not considered a problem

    for example, they come to you guys and said we are going to introduce black market and here is the format. i'm sure you guys will definitely think of the confirm button. but you dont go tell NG, they must add or minus this and that

    active discussion will reduce wasted time and effort for all parties

    Back in the day players use to be invited to play a round with the an updated version and give feedback and help provide possible adjustments. They would leave their guild for a week from memory. 
    I played with many of players in the past that they did this with. I can’t even remember what they called this. 
    My memory is hazy, but this was a common practice and then they stopped it and just gave us the content. 
    Doors are still open to provide them information from certain players, but the 2 way communication that the players had with NML isn’t what it use to be. 
    No offence to the staff that reply here. Just stating my opinion, right or wrong.

    One point of contention my friend.

    A veteran Wild Walking player, that has spent huge cash in the past, gained extensive game play knowledge and insight from playing at the highest level, but who is currently spending much less but still able to be competitive from his vast knowledge gained during the high cash days...

    ... This player would not be the same as the as the player who currently spends the same low amount but never gained the skills and insight, and understanding earned during the good ol gold-pumping days.

    So when whale guilds come in saying they don't spend as much as you think... I cannot help but roll my eyes.

    Maybe you're not spending a fortune this week, or even last week, but your house and all its skills is standing on a foundation made of pure solid gold.

    Am I said player? Whilst I have spent more than the average player I am by no means a whale and I definitely haven't enjoyed the gold pumping days to consider myself one :lol:

    I guess we can start sharing our payment history  :D  I am sorry to tell you that's only the image you created of us @ATLAS-Z ,probably easier to accept things with saying "oh those guys pay a lot i can't compete with them " but i understand because here i am coming into same situation like you, where i think there are guilds who just pay more then i can ever imagine or afford , and cry about it for months. 

    It's so sad, that we are playing the game where it came to this, creating images, measuring eachother's pockets because we all know it's bloody pay to win out there.

    Whole this GW concept cannot be like that, and it's the reason why problems started. When big guild , "whale" or whatever, pop up on the screen, and start doing island 20, i have a choice to try and do the same and spend, for me, insane amount, or do something medium and accept defeat. Well, i am not a loser. I will destroy them all this season, and walk away as a champ. >:)  Only way to prevent my quitting is to beat us next week. Good luck to everyone who try  o:)

    Like the weapon upgrade issue in guild wars, the buying power, the guild power swapping in multi guilds to boost, the multi account boosts, stacking in war, cracking badge crafting formulas etc etc. people are competitive looking for competitive edges, it makes my head spin! I say whatever seems the advantages are of a minority not majority ! Flat badges have been addressed, black market if you don’t upgrade things are locked, end gamers have been given a hard distance w/ tools & increased rewards that lower levels can’t achieve unless upgrade, GW get rewards even w/ loss ! Nothing in life is fair especially when your keeping score & are trying to keep up w/ the Jone’s ! While I have a tremendous amount of respect for you players and find many of your opinions valid. Agree to disagree on this issue far more other important issues for NG to address IMO ( numerous glitches,endless beta,& boring outpost to name a few ! However after 4 yrs on & off I still love the game so maybe I am a minority lol !
