"When Yumiko attacks an enemy on her turn all ranged survivors enough range will attack the target for X amount if damage.
As a leader each member of your team gains this bonus."
This would include a melee survivor getting assistance from ranged toons as long as Yumiko was lead.

The antagonist can be anyone.
That's what it says, perhaps the devs meant something else, but it explicitly states at the end that ANY team member will gain the bonus assistance from other RANGED toons.
check the FAQ it’s clarified.
Whenever Yumiko attacks an enemy, all ranged allies within range of the target will attack it as well for a portion of their damage.
As a leader, every ranged ally gains this ability.
Weapons' areas of attack apply normally. For example, an assault survivor with a wide arc weapon will also damage other enemies that would normally be hit with a regular attack.
Note: The trait does not apply if Yumiko's target dies

I appreciate your expediency in answering questions. I'm not trying to be a snob when I say I have a pretty solid understanding of the game and its mechanics. (most of which that is helpful I learned here, from the community members such as yourself). The assault example you gave above is precisely what is exploited to maintain their charge attacks and therefore build proper stun walls.
This would actually be pretty cool and support ranged-melee hybrid strategies, which there is a distinct lack of in the current meta.
did you actually choose the name brucewayne007 or...?
I typed Adonis and they gave me Bruce Wayne
I am very calm.
For the record that's the same phrasing other heroes have at the end of the LT. Just look at Sasha.
So I can certainly understand why people would think if Yumiko is leading a melee toon, then when that melee toon attacks an enemy it would cause Yumiko and any other ranged ally to attack. That's actually what I thought at first. Obviously after testing when she first came out, it didn't work that way, but as @Burmeliinis points out it would be pretty cool if it did.
all ranged survivors, and for melee survivors not included
