Guardian Carol - fast walkers bug

When fast walkers are attacked with Carol in lead they will always retaliate, although they should be killed (or stunned) with the first attack:

    This feels just like chainsaw (as we knew it would) ... Is that as intended though? I'm not sure.

    Man not sure how I missed this! I also had the same issue, it appears that the “extra” attack happens first, so rather than guarenteed critical you get a normal attack then your charge attack. My guess is that it’s coded this way so that you can’t get instantly recharged after using a charge attack, however it’s really sucky that it works this way and makes Carol and melee unusable with fast walkers around.

    Lol, was going to check here before I started my last stand run. Looks like won’t be using her with melee again this week.

    Anything new about this @Lexia ? This week's Expert Last Stand has Guardian Carol and fast walkers and many players encounter this bug now.

    So far it's been identified to only happen when Guardian Carol is in red health. We have also not received many (if any) reports of this matter in a while, so at the moment it is very likely to be looked into a bit later due to other more pressing matters.

    Do you have some more insights on this that we might not be aware of?

    Below is a video with Carol at full health so Carol's health surely has nothing to do with this bug.

    To me it looks like Carol's LT is actually coded exactly like the chainsaw, with the only difference that Carol's trait is not a guaranteed second attack. But if her trait activates, the second attack seems to happen first, and this will be a normal attack, which the fast walkers can retaliate against. 

    You could also have a look at the dmg of that extra attack, as the amount of dmg seems bugged as well.

    So if you fix this bug you'll fix the chainsaw bug also.

    Happened to me also I was using Rufus charged attack and after I stun the group of walkers the “stun” fast walker retaliate and got to struggle with Rufus

    Or just get rid of retaliate on fast walkers. It was a nice try but overall 👎💩

    The fact that they are fast is enough buff for them to make them special... They don't need any extra. @Lexia more trouble than they are worth.

    Why not just bring back Fast Walkers that can at least bullet dodge?

    This gets rid of annoying glitches from retaliate, and it helps bring balance to melee teams.

    Please no more dodgy or bleeding causing fast walkers - that was way worse, waaaaay worse than retaliation.

    Even though it was only 15% dodge chance I can clearly recall them dodging several attacks in a row very often, way too often, these dodgy bastards.

    The bug still exists, it doesn't matter if Carol has green health or not. The Problem, as you can see in the videos and others explained, is that the second attack is done before the first one...

    I have already submitted a ticket on this but just thought would start a discussion here too.

    If you have GCarol lead (should be popular on current Last Stand Mode), and use a Morning Star (probably on Ezekiel this week):

    IF GCarol LT activates: the push mechanism looks like as if like the first attack won't cause it to push.

    If you are pushing one or more fast walkers into the wall, the fast walkers will retaliate before getting stunned by the follow up attack.

    If you are pushing into open space, the fast walkers will retaliate before getting pushed by the follow up attack.

    So, basically, be careful with attacking fast walker with the Morning Star if you have GCarol lead.

    And it does not seem to matter whether you are using charged attack of regular attack. As long as the LT activates, the fast walkers will retaliate.
