Do we expect too much?

Seems to be a lot of animosity and hostility around the NML community lately. I’ve not been around here very long, is this usual? Some of the messages posted here are outright aggressive towards the game developers and not written in a tone you’d typically expect to hear in civilised society.
I love the game, I think it’s brilliant and I’m also really happy to be part of the NML community. I don’t believe the recent bugs in the game are indicative of the developers’ apathy towards the players, but to read some of the messages here it seems there are people who see it differently.
If it’s always been like this and I’m just being a naive newbie then I’m happy to pipe down. But I’d like to hear from some of the older heads.
I have wondered if there’s an unrelenting demand for novelty in the game which means the developers are forced to release new features at a rate faster than they can optimally maintain? And I’ve wondered if there’s anything I can do as a player and a fan to support them. If things seem to be going less well than they might then I’d sooner ask if there’s anything I can do to help rather criticise and attack. I hope NML continues for a long time to come, I think it would be a good thing if NG were able to communicate to their players what we could contribute to the community to help foster it

Guild wars still being in beta status and still glitchy isn't helping. It is after all the reason why a lot of players are still playing.
Yes, yes it is. Run and save yourself.
The Discord servers I'm on are not toxic like this -- I guess because the players on those servers tell people when they are out of line and do a pretty good job of shutting down toxicity. Similarly, I know a number of guilds don't have tolerance for it.
I think NG does try to implement feedback, such as starting to have some players help beta test. I think that will start to have better results over time, especially if they give the testers more time and access before releasing an update. And timing updates to be after a GWs season during the long break is also the right approach. Yes there are a lot of bugs with this new update, but it isn't GWs season, so I'm feeling calm, patient, and hopeful that they have time to fix some things.
What I told to my mates, what I am thinking, is that NG came to be a big machine. Price of success. Thanks to us. Thanks to our fidelity.
More money, more problems. The more your company grows, the more profits are generated, the more you become the center of attention. Especially when you are contracted to a big licence like TWD. Then come more pressure, more monitoring, more demand for results....
Do we forgot that Netflix came to the equation ?
In 7 years, it seems logical to say that is a reality for our developpers departement : They necessarily have much more detailed specifications than at the outset.
Even in community managering departement we obviously are so far from when it was K.A.Z.
Not a critic, just a fact.
Soooo it seems all so logical that the agenda becomes much more pointed with demand for results in time.
The best way to hurriedly conclue that take a lot more time, more verifications, in a pile of fatigue due to a huge job...
No.... I don't think that is the team to be blame.
I may be a bit naive but I think, we teamed with passionates. I don't think that they considare us as credit card numbers, sums or customers on their own (even if they are here to make money too, you got to full this fridge, we not Jesus Christ).
I don't think I'm wrong.
So, in fact, if it's wanting to, the only thing they could be blamed for is letting themselves put pressure on these facts to prevent this kind of thing from happening.
My worry isn’t primarily about wanting people to be nicer (though it is nice to be nice
Secondarily I was hoping to gently offer the suggestion that if general dissatisfaction levels are on the rise then as a player base I think it’s only reasonable that we consider the possibility some of the responsibility for this might lay with us? Is our insatiable demand for new features and further game development putting an impossible strain on the developers and the resources available to them?
But perhaps that all together each other can change things for our community, to I inclue our NG team.
I think we do expect too much.
now we are just like the elders of the Simpsons 🤣🤣
