Deadly gone from challenges.......well there goes your better gear while doing challenges

I will no longer be going past 100 stars as the cost benefit is now gone.
No deadly mission in challenges....may as well spend that expensive high star gas on xp or deadly explorations.

This is supposed to be a tactical game...a.k.a. turn based STRATEGY.
Why do we always have to let the whiners decide whats best for all of us.......I mean c'mon they didn't HAVE to play them.

Is it possible we could get a toggle to make whatever challenge mission we want a deadly lol. That way the whiners get theirs without screwing over the rest of us.

My opinion....just saying.

    We went from one to two to zero. I only run deadlies when I am farming, always looking for something to add to the armory. Of course that gives me more supplies than XP which is useless since I'm currently maxed out with nothing left to upgrade. I like the deadly missions. You need to get your heart pumping every now and again to remember your alive and having my level 17 survivors wrestling with a walker still does that for me!

    Deadly missions really added to the game play of challenges. If you want to fight for stars sometimes you put survivors at risk. I think this is important for skill level of game.

    It sucks when you lose your best guy but coming back from that is a key point in turning the game from like to love. If the game doesn't offer challenge and threats it will not hold the attention of players.

    Please bring back deadly missions on challenges :)

    And since most of the game is basically going nowhere for prolonged periods of time, people can grind the one star each challenge after 180 or 200 stars. Or leave the the side missions out there to get the deadlies for whatever groove or minimal benefit there is in doing them. Now the challenges are a tad easier to get the pittance offered in TG to maybe get somewhere. The TGs and bi-weekly challenges are pretty much the only thing semi-worthwhile in the game to keep engaged.

    No deadly maps = more gas for gold to grind more stars. Simple reason. The same with challenge cooldown time. 30 min = more abilities to farm stars. Of course again - more gas for gold to do it.

    I said in the announcement its a bit dumb to take them out. We are playing a game with zombies, and you basically can't die.

    @Dragoon I don't have data to say either way, but did the chest quality actually decrease when the maps were converted to non-deadlies? The announcement said something like, "only change is that they're not deadly", those maps are still more complex I think. And my impression has been that there are more gold and silver tickets on them still.

    No offense to anyone but someone's going to whine & complain about every change in the game regardless, YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYONE!!! but it's still a great game & really the gear you get from challenge crates isn't that good anyways, if u want to farm deadlies do explore missions for better gear or buy legendary crates it's as simple as that & to be perfectly honest you get chances at great gear farming xp & food missions also as it's where I got most of my lvl 20 legendary from xp missions.
    For the most part the 1st half of the challenge is extremely worthless rewards & incredibly boring the 2nd half is slightly better rewards but not great & by that time your a little more worn from repeating over & over as the only part of the challenge that's even remotely challenging anyways is lvl 18+ & really it's still simple till lvl 20 so far for more crap rewards & basically a wasted day of upgrading to get some shiny stars on the board that don't really do anything for you, so if people want to grind a few extra stars so they can feel like their in grade school again & have teacher put a shiny gold star by their name so be it lol, whether it's deadly or not it's only really considered a challenge at the end anyways & if anything you're still possibly punished by 2hr+ hospital visits at the most & actually better as whether it's a guild mate or not I wouldn't want to see anyone's hard work or real $$ go down the drain by their survivors dying permanent as some aren't easy to get & could even die unfairly due to 1 of many glitches in the game as that's happened to ppl also, it's only a game & people will spend their gas on whatever they want if it's only challenges to grind more stars so be it & ng isn't holding a gun to anyone's head to buy gas with gold either to play them more as they already dropped the price of gas by half which was great & the challenges don't cost much more gas then explore missions anyways at lvl 20+ & raising the walker difficulty past that, some people will take some a lot higher but a lot will stay in their range also, to sum this long speech up (sorry for ranting lol) challenges aren't that exciting anyways & I don't look forward to them so personally I usually get 200+ to where ever I end it the 1st night anyways & do spend gold on gas not to try to look cool & be number 1 but yes to help my guild with rewards & do my part but basically just to get them over with so I'm free to do whatever I want like farm or raid & actually work on my profile for a few days as it would take you idk how much longer to max camp & survivors??? If players only focused on the challenge who cares if their deadly or not?? It doesn't change a thing, anyways that's my 2 cents + 4 pennies lol

    I think it is not the right decision to remove deadly missions from challenges. It is exiting to but the team at risk. And you need some skill to play them, because you could loose your team. Now you just play and dont care if you loose. I would be happy if deadly missions come back to challenges and my whole guild thinks the same.

    Gear is easier to find now than ever. You still have deadly exploration missions. You now have gauranteed gear crates to choose from. Frankly, the 1 or 2 deadly challenge missions a week are an insufficient source of gear anyway. You are only going to complete that deadly once or twice at level and even then it was luck of the draw.
    A deadly mission in the challenge serves more purpose as a limiting factor, giving a player hesitation to push levels while reaching for stars. I personally did not mind deadly missions in the challenges, but I don't particularly miss them either.

    They didn't say WHY they removed Deadly from Challenges (and NG should have) but Rubber has a point. The only problem for me is without them in Challenges there's no real risk because the Deadly Expl. mission in 13 isn't difficult.

    I like having the deadlies. The rewards can be better, and it is much more of a challenge. This is the zombie apocalypse. There must be some risk and some chance of your survivors dying in at least some of the missions to add some threat and excitement to the game.

    I think the change is made because some people lose survivors when the game crashes or lost connection while they are doing deadly missions. when the game reconnects, their survivors are already dead. And since the issue with lost connections cannot be fully resolved, they minimize the problem by taking away the deadly missions so that having connection issues during challenges won't cost you a survivor..
    To fix the lack of deadly missions, why not have a designated location on the map where deadly missions only can be found with increasing difficulty as you repeat the missions. But the mission will automatically resets to initial difficulty every other day.

    I wish they would bring the deadly missions back. We all know the risks going in to one. People have the choice to either play it or not. If they are afraid of loosing one of their survivors then don't play it. Why ruin it for the rest of us who likes having that challenge

    I generally don't play the deadly missions. I've never found the reward to be worth the risk. Or maybe I'm just not that good at this. Whatever.

    But, if people like them and want to play them, go for it. I'm not sure why they were taken away. It wasn't to make a non-deadly-mission player like me happy because I don't care if other people play them or not. There are many aspects to the game. Play the ones you like; don't play the others.

    Just one side note on this issue. There is an achievement award of five hundred gold for completing 500 deadly missions. It is far easier to reach this goal in the Challenges. .....just saying.
