Just...something to be fresh and new, so I can be more excited to play the game.
Second for me voting options one and two go hand in hand, because of 2 challenges a week I don't have time to farm out XP or tomatoes. Now I'm not saying go back to 1 challenge a week because there are some benefits to 2 a week but 2 a week helps create a shitstorm when you combine it with the high cost of living in NML. I would consider spending my gold on speeding up an upgrade but for what? So it can be ready for the next upgrade while I spend 5 days getting XP for the next upgrade? I started on Tuesday trying to upgrade a base level 18 rifle. I had 1.3 million in XP and it cost 710,000 for the first upgrade and what like 20 hours? It finished but even though I had 600,000 already it took 2 more days before I farmed out enough for upgrade 2 which was completed yesterday morning. I'm back up to 700,000 XP right now and I need 1.13 million or something whatever. I guess in 3 more days maybe 2 if I'm lucky I'll be able to upgrade it to level 21 which is another 24 hours to actually upgrade it. That's ridiculous NG and shameful. So that's just for 1 weapon for 1 survivor. I have 15 survivors and they each have armor and weapons. Even if I only upgrade the level 18 survivors new equipment because not all my survivors need or can use new equipment that's 4 survivors at the moment times two pieces of gear times times one week yeah that's 8 weeks for upgrading Guess what, there's a great chance that by the end of those 8 weeks there will be a council upgrade or even sooner which causes that piece to be obsolete so bonus points to NG for understanding the concept of building obsoletion into the equipment so that they can maximize profit. Or I can spend $20 to upgrade these items but I'm not going to spend $160 for one month of use. Or even more if the stingy ass radio tower coughs up someone better than a bruiser who caps out at level 17.
During that time to earn XP for upgrade I spent a lot of gold on gas so it's not like I'm just sitting around in the camp roasting marshmallows and talking about the walker that almost bit my foot. I also converted TG into silver and gold crates to convert into XP and food.
I don't expect immediate gratification but 2.7 million in XP when you spend all your time knocking out stars so you don't have time for XP and one day for each upgrade is insanity. Couple the lack of time with the gas restraints and small storage capacity of XP and you have a vicious cycle that mirrors a drug dealer control over a drug addict.
Don't get me started on the busted ass joke of outposts. Broken shields, bad match making, and double zeros on influence AND trade goods sucks big time. The algorithms suck for getting gear and survivors but hey at least everyone is at the mercy of the RNG unless they want to spend $ to overcome that obstacle.
I wish we had some content with Woodbury and the Governor. I am getting a little stale but there are bigger issues than that right now. Too little gas to accomplish 2 challenges a week AND progress in the game AND upgrade survivors AND gear AND defend AND attack outposts. It's becoming like a second job or having another kid so if something isn't done soon I'll be quitting.
...That's my vote.
Yeah I think your statement is more accurate...very rarely is stuff so black and white especially with this game....there are many things I don't like about the game yet I still play every day and give them money every week...and I'm sure there are many others in the same boat!

More like a floating city
All in all, I'm staying around for the foreseeable (health concerns permitting, of course).
It lists only one positive bullet and that is so exaggerated it's silly.
So I cannot vote.
For a fairly new player this game is lots of fun.
Lots of different ways to play (both in different types of missions and pvp as well as strategy wise), possibility of interaction with other players, and fully free to play which makes it accessible to everyone!
But to state that one will never ever quit playing it is obviously silly. Everying in entertainment will eventually loose interest. At that point I'll be like "what else is on" and move on the next fun thing.
To me it sounds you've simply reached that piont but cannot just quite shake the addiction.

You're right. For new players it's amazing game. But when you reach lvl 45+ then you realized that game balance is really broken for high lvl players...
Easy farming you saidy...for me is rather waste of time. I mean early challenge maps. I need milions of XP but missions crates offering me 100-200 Xp which is waste of time in my opinion. Exploration maps then? No way when it cost 6 gas per run... So maybe Outpost?? Again no.. Too many empty results. In overall I call it BAD GAME BALANCE.
Why I'm still playing instead of go on ??? Because I love zombies games and turn base strategies....
