Weekend Event - DO NOT PARTICIPATE!

It's been announced that the weekend event will be increased epic/legendary survivor chances. It's also been announced that changes to the radio tower will soon be changed.

So why would you use any of your hard earned radios NOW, before the radio tent will be improved? Unless you have deep pockets, don't bother with this event.

Be patient! This event is meant to drain your current radios so you will buy more radios after the changes occur.

I know A LOT of us want better survivors, but getting new survivors really doesn't do much. Sure, you may be able to get a new episode completed, or get a few more guild mission stars, but does that really serve any real purpose? Do you plan on playing this game for a while? If you do, please wait.

Unless they change something for this weekend, the best you will get is a max 19 survivor; someone who will max out after the next council upgrade. What's the point? The point is to get you to buy more radios.

If you spend your radios this weekend, don't complain about your lack of radios after the update occurs, when you will probably have more control over what survivors you can get, but probably at higher costs (that's pure speculation on my part, but what other changes to the radio tower would we actually like, as a mod has already stated we'd "really like" the changes?).

In sum, completely ignore the event that many have been begging for for weeks. /PSA

Fair point. The radio change was mentioned by @OldGoth in Feb. I've asked repeatedly for an update and whether it would be included in the coming update and was ignored. I asked Amiga to ask since Teeceezy responds to him, but still nothing.

So maybe it got pushed and pushed with all the bugs and they're not releasing an update until the fall? It sure would be nice to get an update on this significant part of the game that affects every player. Maybe one of the new content creators can get an answer.

Many ppl waiting for this event,who care about this problem,i need good surs so i spend my radios and will earn others for next event with radio tower fixed,most of my surs max capped 17,so i need new surs,spend or don't, it up to you,do not make ppl think wrong way

I think I saw them say radio tent changes would be in the next update and next update will not be before June. Some post by Teeceezy last week said next update has lots of changes and somewhere else it said no more updates till at least June.

If you desperately want survivors that will put you in your current stagnant position 2-3 months from now, then go for it!

Just trying to provide some foresight, knowing that patience isn't something most of us are great at.

@Necroboogie -- my thoughts exactly...there will be Guinea pigs, I'm just hopong to reduce the number of them.

I'll probably quit coming to the forum after all the "I got these crappy survivors threads/comments" start appearing this weekend...even though everyone should already know they are probably going to get those crappy survivors based on so many posting the same topic constantly.

If you have sufficient max 18 or 19 survivors, then you probably don't need the event. Especially if you have enough Legendary survivors up the wazoo. I believe this event is great for players who still need level 18 or 19 survivors. We haven't had a Survivor event since the last Workshop update, so there are people that have max 17 survivors that could benefit from this weekend.

The future update is not just a tent upgrade, I believe it is a system change. We have no clue if it requires radios or not, but the system will be a major change to the radio call feature. I fear if you send the wrong message and the system change happens, players might regret not partaking in this event since it does give higher chances for Epic and Legendary survivors. We get this event once a month and the Radio changes will not be happening anytime soon...pretty sure you can collect more radios by then (if radios are still required)

@OneLessTitan Well I have about 650 phones saved and most of my survivors are maxed so I can use up 300 or 400, and it is no worries for me. I need a new event and have been waiting patiently for one. I was out of town during the last event in March.

Baby needs some new survivors. C'mon lucky 7!

It's extremely unlikely that the callout quality after the update will be better than a special callout weekend. I imagine that the changes will likely be similar to what's going on with Trade Goods. You'll be able to spend even more radios to guarantee a specific quality. If the new update was going to make a callout quality weekend totally worthless, they wouldn't do it. That would just piss off everyone.

There's no right or perfect way to play...everyone has their opinions so do whatever you want to do.

You don't have to listen to @OneLessTitan he is just offering a different perspective...I won't be listening to him but I have deep pockets lol

I'm of the mindset with this game that I if I always wait for something better I'll be waiting forever...but that's just my style

@MomofSnolpe The radio change is coming to the new update which should be later this month. No exact release date yet...

I have learned that, " my opinion " is usually not respected...
( As evidenced by NextGames, listening to and implementing my suggestion... )

But... I believe, that nothing will deter NextGames from from doing things, in making money... No matter what we ask for...

( that is the way of our world... )

As for radios... Luck is controlled, by the folks in Finland, to make money... Not to make us happy...

Oh well... I've got a lousy opinion, that is not worthy of respect... No big deal...

New radio system will not guarantee better epic /leg chance. I bet you will be able to choose type of survivor or other things but chance will stay the same I'm afraid. ATM I have only 1 lvl 18 survivor so I have to call for backup

@Terminates -- you think they'd really do away with radios? Doing so would basically mean every person who bought a radio bundle would get their money back from iTunes or Google store.

@zoson -- your point is exactly why I wrote this post; my guess is that you will be able to call for a legendary survivor for 100-200 radios, or maybe even a bit more...and possibly even be able to specify a survivor class (tho I'm less convinced that will happen). I'll gladly hold on to my radios for this hope...and if it doesn't happen, then there will be another event after the survivor max is increased and I can get survivors that are hopefully significantly more useful than what I have, and for a longer period of time.

@SpacemanSpiff -- I appreciate your contribution to the community!

@SlickRick -- I can't wait to see your survivor pool after this event and your radios; I will no doubt have an NML envy boner! And I'm already nauseous about tonight; the blues are the only team I actually care about their success; usually I watch sports just to be entertained, but the blues have some sort of influence on me that is not healthy. Since I'm in the Midwest, I tell my friends of my age that being a blues fan is worse than being a Cubs fan; at least cubs fans knew they were garbage almost every year; the blues are almost always in the playoffs so there is always that horrific mental state: "sports hope". (100 years of not winning means nothing when you're only around 30!)

I have barely no choice to wait since most of my survivors are maxed out or nearly maxed out at level 15. Some are upgradeble to 17...

I think it has been taken down at this point but there was a post saying they were implementing the radio tower changes alongside the event.

I don't see why people are so desperate for level 19+ survivors anyhow. The probability of rolling a lvl 18 survivor with perfect traits or even just an epic with gold luck, silver dodge is already extremely slim. People who are crying for them to further dilute things with survivors which won't be useable until the show comes back on must be either crazy or rich. If you have all level 18 survivors with perfect traits then it is in your best interest otherwise you are shooting yourself and everyone else in the foot campaigning for survivors above 18.

The recent update received is that the new future system change for finding Epic or Legendary survivors will be the same. Hence, if you do not partake in this event, your chances for finding Epic or Legendary survivors will be the same now and after the call changes. There is no benefit to using your radios now or when the update comes. The new radio system will only change the way you search.

We just received this notice a few minutes ago.

If they get rid of RADIOS to be used in the RADIO tent, then that would be the dumbest thing this game could do. What else would we use to call out for survivors? I guess we could collect strings to connect to tomato cans...and as I said before, NG would be giving back millions of dollars from everyone getting their refunds from every purchase that included a radio.

What does that even mean? Sounds like meaningless words with no useful information behind it. The change to how we "search" for survivors could just mean we press a different graphic...

It would be nice if NG devs/staff would actually say something rather than play a game of telephone through video makers.

And I'm not saying you don't have a better chance to get epics/legs this weekend, just raising the question of "what's the point?" for many players.

The point is that increased callout weekend is still better cost/benefit ratio for radios spent than the new update will be. That's why it's an event and they're doing it. Holding onto your radios is only hurting yourself.
