PSA: The time for this week's survivor event is different than others. The weekend event starts on Friday at 04:00 EDT / 08:00 UTC and ends on Monday at 01:00 EDT / 05:00 UTC. So figure out what the starting time is to your local time before using radios.

    Any idea why the change?

    Assuming you mean 4:00am and ending at 1:00am EDT?

    I'll assume the EST times are correct. My UTC converter is showing 04:00 EST as 09:00 UTC. Might be a daylight savings time difference. I am also assuming a.m.

    To play it safe, I'll wait for the in-game announcement before I spend any radios.

    @Governator North America is on EDT which is an hour different from EST.

    @PimpOfTheDead Monday at 1am is the normal end time for a typical weekend event, starting at 4:00am on Friday gives us 3 less hours to search for suvivors :)

    Yup, EDT as it's in use. If in doubt, refer to UTC because time conversions are hard.

    And it's actually a double weekend event! They also make the radio bundles available. At least for me, the medium bundle has popped up twice in past couple of days, both times as "a limited offer" for a few hours.

    Brings back fond memories from that first weekend event in April.
    I'm lost.

    @masmith93, @SpacemanSpiff nailed it. I can make 19 or 20 (if I'm lucky enough to grab 14 more radios) 15 radio calls in minutes. The time-frame serves to make sure we all can get the chance to burn them up! lol

    It's easy to know when the event is on. Look at the envelope in the game.

    I'd rather live in Hawaii than Arizona to avoid daylight savings time. B)

    Does the event start in 2 hours? I'm having trouble converting for the time in Korea.

    30 more minutes to go in California. I'm wondering if dialing radios first soon as the event starts will increase the chance of getting legendary survivors.
    Like first come, first service as people saying.
    Or it doesn't matter when you dial anytime during event. @zbot or anyone else? What do u think?

    I dont know if you calculated it right. But it is already 0800 UTC for 38 minutes. ;)

    You're right about the radio bundle.
    I bought a big radio bundle 5 hours ago getting 8000 golds along with 30 radio phones. And guess what I just saw another big radio bundle 5 minutes ago offering 8000 golds and 30+20 extra phones but it's only available for limited time of 3 and half hours so I'd better buy before I go to bed soon.
    Looks like event is really coming, yeah

    Sorry because of summertime central europe is 2 hours ahead of UTC instead of 1 hour windows is saying.

    ahahah ! yes indeed ... i have v.few Radios right now but im planning to nolife this game over the weekend to collect as many as i can and then unleash my total phones on the Radio Tent prolly by late Sunday night :D .

    @zbot , i know i might be risking some breach of Developer Privacy BUT are the legendary/Epic survivor rates increased for the 15 Radio per Call option (the third button in the radio tent) or do the enhanced rates also apply to ONE radio per call and 5 Radio per call options as well ? (the first and second options in the radio tent )

    @Yaxir , not a Dev just a player mod here. 15 calls is what most players recommend, it's RNG so grab your 4 leaf clover, rabbit foot, horse shoe and anything else and hope for the best.
