I consider myself a "I want it all, and I want it now" kinda player with a maxed camp and all level 18 survivors and even I don't want to see a new council just yet.

Cost to take gear to level 21 is 2.73m XP so you can assume it will be over 3m to 22. Cost to level a 17 survivor to 18 is 660k XP so 19 will be about 750k. If you have 20 level 18 survivors you will need 15m XP to level your crew. That's a LOT of boring farming missions.

I currently have 8.9m supplies on hand but that won't be nearly enough to upgrade your entire camp.

No new council, please. The new content is welcome as are the new balances to the survivor classes. Hopefully some of the game economy fixes will work there way into this one as well.

Any word on when the new missions coming available? It's been the same missions up for months. Can only focus on challenges and side missions and it's getting old.

It means you better have a plan to avoid all contact with the walkers @Grimm_Reaper. They actually go to level 30. Impossible to kill a walker in the upper levels (25+) so you have to dodge them to succeed.

I once tried farming a challenge mission and got to see walkers up to Level 68. Needed only 20,000+ in damage to kill them. Needless to say, it did not end well for one of my survivors. LOL

@zoson why does a new episode have to be added with a council update? We had a council update less than a month ago and most people barely even have any level 19 capped survivors. . People have also just begun getting a few pieces of fully upgraded level 21 gear after the xp event .. I'm not a Dev but to me , releasing a council update right now would be folly of the largest order. The forums would break

Probably because we need to level up to complete next episode. Though I did 13 on hard so 14 regular is probably doable.

I didn't realize this wasn't a new Episode either...my reading comprehension must be poor.

But I don't get why a new episode MUST come with a Council Upgrade. It's not like we won't be able to cruise through a new episode on Normal and (and maybe Hard) mode with Level 18 Survivors.

I don't think they have to be paired. I haven't finished leveling my 18 gear. Not looking forward to starting on 19.

And has it always been that way in the past...I've never paid attention every time there's a council update because I don't pay much attention to the episodes only the challenges...do you remember @lmfgunnut because it doesn't seem like it's always been that way from what I can recollect

I feel like we've gotten a council upgrade without an episode, but don't remember an episode without council.

There were already two episodes when I started though. Or maybe a tutorial and an episode? Can't remember exactly.

We have gotten a council update without a new episode once as @lmfgunnut says. Whenever a new episode was added, we have always gotten a new council update. This trend has kept the maximum level of our survivors in line with the recommended level of the new episode.

Yeah, good players can exceed their level on certain challenge maps, but I think you guys may have forgotten that the story has always been significantly harder than everything else. That's also why completing the story on hard and nightmare is such a big thing!

So, for a new episode to come out without a council is unprecedented. People are already having trouble doing episode 13 on nightmare after the recent changes increased its level. Episode 14 on nightmare would be totally out of the question.
