Oh yeah, that's probably good then. I would only use it to speed up survivor/building upgrades if you have the resources to start another upgrade. If I really want to keep playing, I will use gold for gas, but not that frequently. It all depends on your play style ...
I'm still using all of mine for survivor slots but when I first started I used them to feed my impatience. Once I have enough slots I'll probably just speed up my upgrades. Can't see myself buying outfits or anything like that.

Radios are NOT a good expenditure of gold... Like at all. They are probably the WORST way to spend your gold honestly. 50G per radio. You can spend 25 and have a high chance at a card draw screen to get a single radio.
There are 6 types of survivor, scout, bruiser, warrior, hunter, shooter, and assault. I want to have 3 on each type. That's 18 slot. So, i will only spend gold in survivor slot.
Ok, some of the gamer screen shot walk throughs from other players have shown their level 13/14 survivors negotiating Episode 11 Mission 3, where I'm currently at. How were you able to get your survivors trained up to that level??? My survivors are at level 12 and I cannot upgrade them to thier maximum levels of 14 to 17. My Player experience is at 25 but in order to upgrade my Council building, training area, or any other building my player experience level must be at 29. A little help?
@bus I got a level 13 from running the nightmare and hard modes. When I saved the survivors in those episodes they were higher than my original team. I can't level up yet either due to being stuck at council 11, player 27. I just keep making food runs and building to level up so I can eventually train my peeps. I really hope council 12 holds way more than 200,000 in XP. It really sucks when it is full and you have to upgrade a piece of lower level equipment to open up possibility getting more XP.
Oh and you should be able to upgrade things to level up, just not training grounds until level 29.

player level is dependent on Building Points (BP). To level up your player level, build new buildings when available and upgrade other buildings to earn BP.
Another Question: you can buy food for gold to get enough for the next update, as we all know. ... but the price seems to be different:
Four examples...
For the last 1700 food to update the farm from 7 to 8 the game asks me for 15 gold = more than 8g for 1k food. For antoher 281k to update the training ground from 11 to 12, the game asks for 281 gold = 1g for 1k food. Then again for the camp (12 to 13) i need another 321k and the gams asks me for 298 gold = 0,9g for 1k food. For the radion tent (5 to 6) we are back at 1 gold for 1k food (need 280k food, which would cost me 280gold) = 1g for 1k food.
Does this makes seens to anyone here...
btw: to calculate the right amount of time after a farm update reaches the break even point, you also need to consider the update time itself because the farm isnt producing any food during this couple of hours.. just saying .
It's better/cheaper in gold to have/use supplies then to purchase straight out as a insta. The more supplies you have the cheaper the gold cost - if you want to insta it right after.
Seems to be a discount on the more supplies you need to finish a building.
@Bus No need to spend money when you are patient enough. Just do the supply runs and upgrade buildings when you earned enough tomatoes.
I understand this, however it is getting really expensive to upgrade my surviors when each one costs anywhere from 700 to 850 gold pieces per survivor to level up ONE LEVEL. So basically I'm spending $5.00 to level up one survivor one level.

So basically I'm spending $5.00 to level up one survivor one level. The higher the level of the survivor is the multiplied higher the price to pay. Are the prices going to multipy as my survivors need to up grade to the next level? This is not to mention that when you get a new survivor (usually starting at Level 6/7/8) you have to div out Gold/$ to upgrade them up to level 12/13 in order for them to use sophisticated weapons or to kill 13/16 level zombies!!!!!! Maybe they should reduce thier prices with the next game upgrade or increase immensely the amount of gold in prizes.
I never use gold on survivor upgrade, you upgrade one at the time, and do mission with others while they upgrade. A good time is to plan an upgrade before you go to bed.
I'm not sure why you'd use gold to upgrade a survivor when you can use xp? Just upgrade 1 at a time, and then when you're done get another survivor to upgrade. If you go on XP missions, farm each mission until you can't kill the walkers anymore, and scrap all unwanted gear, you'll get that xp pretty quickly.
You can also use 1 radio calls as XP generators, if you're really flush with radio.

Buildings first, you can always farm for XP, but those Cans of tomatoes can be hard to come by.
Play to Slay. Slay to live another day. Daily players. On and killing walkers as often as we can.
We need you! We want you!

Got my first legendary gear for my hunters today. Too bad it's too high a level for me to upgrade yet
