Sweet Jesus, let's show some gratitude for a minute, okay?

The way the forums look some days it almost appears as though NG has the touch of king Midas except instead of gold, it's spiders and turds.
Lets go to bat for NG for a moment and thank them for creating a pretty roundedly decent gaming experience that is free to play with fairly reasonable pay options:
I began playing in April. I cannot really comment much on the earliest days. I will admit that since I started, there have been many improvements.
Since I started:
NG has improved the challenge system.
Added more depth to the game with new mechanics such as cover.
Introduced the replacement rewards system of TG and created far more oportunity to acquire said rewards. Prior to this, challenge milestones offered 2 gold lockers and that was it. Stagnation city. This gives us a lot more options for greater development of our toons and toontowns.
Fixed a lot of grievous bugs and exploits.
Introduced outposts, allowing a gateway for in-game interaction with other players.
Brought greater challenges with human mobs!
They give away stuff in the form of weekend and community events. Every. Single. Week/weekend. (a lot of game studios pretty much end their relationship the moment you have finished downloading. Thanks for playing/buying our game suckers)
Aside from aesthetics, there is very little you can't earn in-game without purchases. Every f2p game I have ever played prior didn't just have premium currency like gold bullion randomly drop from interaction like TWD does. You either bought it or you didn't have it.
Speaking of non-earnable items, how about the character weapons that NG sells? Aside from Morgan's staff, none of them brought any unobtainable traits or abilities. NG does not force you to make purchases to compete! That's great!
Also, what is really nice, is that they have begun to fix those buy-weapons with traits that were well designed and desireable rather that selling you a crap-shoot with a pretty name. You know exactly what you are paying for and that is excellent.
And...they have finally improved the xp situation. Sure, it took them awhile, but I am sure a lot of balancing was considered once they could admit definitively that there was a problem.
These guys are human. They make mistakes and we can certainly criticize. They also deserve praise when they've done the right things too.
Thanks to the devs for the experience.
Thanks to the community for helping to improve through feedback.
Thanks to the mods for keeping the riffraff in check.
Thanks to Al Gore for inventing the internet.

I have also thanked you with a bit of cash.
Check out the DMZ guild. We're recruiting. Here.
Thanks for posting this at the least. There was a few minutes of cheering as the update approached, some sheer joy at the nice pricing on the boosters, then outrage and resentment and flung poo ever since. We all obviously like the game or we wouldn't be here. We should say that more often and leave out the buts.

People complained about matchups with TG being 0 and from what I've seen its been fixed now there's complaints it's too hard. Everyone wants to have their cake, eat it too & save some for later.
I only wish there was a cycle of events. Meaning instead of radio weekend, reduced gas weekend, 5 second upgrade weekend being random... I wish there was a set cycle.
It's not even a complaint. Just wish I knew "ok every 5th weekend is the radio event" we can get more rhythmic. Has anyone collected data (I guess I can go back through announcements and track it) to how often these weekend events come up? Maybe there is a cycle I just didn't realize.
Regardless I appreciate NG's changes.

Freemium... the "mium" is latin for 'not really'
I've done enough programming to know that, no matter what you do, someone will whine about it. It's rare to hear "Hey, you did a good job! Things are much better now."
They did a lot of good work here. Sure, there are a few hiccups and some ideas that not everyone agrees with but that is always the case. Let's say Thanks! before we start whining.
Making this thread feels good.
So much positivity.
Maybe this is the forum to do it. But not this thread. Take your negativity and add it to the pile outside.
like WB is mucking up DC movies.
Sometimes I think we need to have a grownup section of the forums, but that's like saying having a civil part of the Internet.
I just hope that sound advise and feedback is not washed out by the noise and complaints.
Anyways, I concur. Thanks for a good update.
And al gore is a knobjockey....his mansion needs to sink seeing he built it exactly where he warned us all we would be under water due to global warming...
The rest i agree with
But they still have a major issue with iPad users

Best update since launch.
Great post...been playing the game for a good while and in my opinion it's a lot better now...of course it's not perfect and there are still issues but there have been a lot of substantial improvements
There are always going to be those that lean towards negativity especially on the internet (or even worse social media)...just the world we live in and it will probably just keep getting worse...I've taken a lot of shit from people on here who don't like my similar optimistic outlook...luckily I care about their narcissism about as much as the lint in my pocket.
Just keep doing you and keep that outlook...there are a lot of people that feel similar to you and know that the game is fun and going in the right direction...best wishes
Keep working hard devs,it is appreciated.
TWDNML is one and the only one game which I play. @Teeceezy @eetu .. do I need say anything else??? Oh yes - lower exploration gas cost!
And no they dont have to show any appreciation whatsoever unless they genuinely feel that way and I doubt the morality police or internetz group pressure will change one iota of this.
Freedom of expression FTW.
But I do believe any event should actually be an event.
I'm not going to utilize this weekend's event, but I believe it's a good one for at least half the NML population.
I just hate when the event sucks for everyone.
