Turns out it's intended game design, so I uninstalled. Not wasting my time with terrible game design and no desire to improve it anymore. It's amazing how little has changed since 2015.
-
To piggyback that, it'd also be nice if there was some kind of alert when we have enough hero tokens to upgrade/promote a hero. It's annoying to cycle through all of them to check.
-
Did you also have no option to reroll it? I had enough reroll tokens, but the option was greyed out. What a great game!
-
I think it'd also be nice to have an end turn button that skips to the next wave/influx of zombies.
-
How do I find out the map name? It was a scavenger mission. I haven't noticed map names on those.

Given NG's general apathy and incompetence, boycotting is probably more likely to shut down the game than light a fire under their butt to do better.
-
The badge system is unnecessarily complex. It is bad game design and should've been overhauled years ago. Too many things about this game end in disappointment.
-
But what about all the previous weeks?
-
I'm convinced no one at NG plays the game. These strange issues would otherwise be seen and fixed quickly. Seems Dev has all but given up on this game. I played when it first came out and left for like four years. When I came back, almost nothing had changed.

Challenge seems to have reset and I lost round passes.
-
Did the Challenge just reset?
-
That's silly. Surely there's a better way to inform players and improve the customer experience. After falling victim to a game bug, I have a chore to find out if I even got the compensation. Was the compensation and what it was even announced?
-
You're advocating against it just as "very passionately" (which isn't how I would categorize anything). It's not about the experience. It's simply bad game design. The experience should always be present whether or not you care about it. Nothing should revolve around "not caring about it later."
-
Cool, so I apparently got nothing or it's given silently so I have no way of knowing either way. Brilliant work, everyone.
-
This perspective doesn't make sense. You seem to think they're mutually exclusive. It should do all that you said and also give experience whether you're level 1 or at the end. If a walker dies because of something you did to it, you should get experience.
-
I literally posted this thread and didn't notice any compensation. I played the mission, got stuck, and had to use Flee. Is it a silent reward, a popup alert, or what?
-
Happen to have an update about the compensation?
-
It's bad game design. We're effectively punished for taking advantage of abilities the game provides.
-
This bug was fixed, but I don't see anything about compensation.
-
Fair enough, but if I inflict the fire, I should get experience for the walker dying.
-
It's marginally good for missions, but preventing experience and burning melee survivors makes it overall bad.
-
But I did actually kill it. The only reason it died was because of fire I inflicted upon it. It's stupid that I get no credit for it. It makes Incendiary a bad trait.
-
If you actively ignore 95% of the game, why are you concerned with what changed?
-
Yeah, at least fix the walker level brightness.
-
Good insight. My Sara survivor does have the Dodging trait, and that could be what happened. I wasn't watching her when she was struggling before I freed her, but she probably did dodge.
-
Happened to me as well. Had to flee to exit. All the hype for the new seasons and pissed off right away.
-
Pretty pissed off I had to flee and suffer a heavy injury.
